Today I was leaving a voicemail for a someone who was interested in renting an apartment here. In my business voice I said, "Hi, this is Tanya from Star One Apartments and I'm returning your call about the apartment for rent ... " in the background Kali yells as loud as she can, "Mom, I'm going to go poop now!" I try to keep talking over her, "please give me a call back at..." but she isn't satisfied when I didn't acknowledge her, and she yells even louder, "Mom! I said I was going to go poop now okay?!"
In the car today, Kali kept going on and on about how we need to pack up for our Easter trip. She was so adamant about us getting ready for it, but I had no idea what she was talking about. We're not planning to go anywhere for the next month. Finally she said, "Mom! We're having Easter vacation! We need to leave soon!" and it hit me: Today was the last day of preschool before Easter vacation, and she thought that meant everyone was packing up and going on vacation. So sweet and innocent. I hope she stays that way for a while.
Kali: Mom, why is Griffey missing a tooth in the front?
(He's not. He just has a huge gap)
