Arizona, Part II

THEY WON!!!
Last week Kali and I drove to Phoenix for Dirk's National Championship game and they won. My little itty brother Dirky scored the only goal of the game, with a header during a corner kick. This is the second year in a row that his goal won them the National Title. They finished the season 26-0 , making their record not only the best Yavapai College history, but the best in collegiate soccer history at any level.

During our down time in Phoenix, we
spent lots of time by the pool of our resort.

The Wedding

Last weekend was a big one for the Petersen Fam. My older brother Kai got married on November 8th in the Newport Beach Temple, and my older sister got engaged later that night! Here's a few pics of the joyous occasion...

It Was a Sad Day in the Smith House...

It was a sad day in the house on Thurday when we realized our beloved matching red bikes had been stolen! They were locked up with two different chains in our parking garage, and someone still got away with them. The reason it was so sad is because of how much fun we have had with them over the last 2 months.
In September we bought a baby trailer for Kali to ride along with us, and ever since then we have been riding at the beach 3 times a week. We love it because it gets us down to the beach without having to worry about the baby. She usually passes out in her shaded trailer which we refer to as the 'B.U.T.' (Bike Utility Trailer). Anyway... all these fun memories have come to a crashing hault now that we have no bikes to tow her around with. Therefore... it was a sad day.
In their memory, I posted some pictures of the recent beach adventures we had with the bikes.

Raising Arizona is a great movie

Last weekend we took the little muffin to see her uncle Dirk play a regional championship soccer game. We drove out to the middle of nowhere in Arizona, where he plays as a defender for the Yavapai College team. Last year he scored the winning goal in the national championship game.
The middle of nowhere

They ended up winning the game that night, and are now headed to nationals again!

We were just a little excited about the win.

Kali was loving the game in her little bear suit that kept her super warm.

Pumpkin

For Kali's first Halloween we decided to dress her as a classic little pumpkin. Aaron dressed as a pumpkin farmer, and I as a pumpkin farmer with a pumpkin in the oven. This lead everyone to believe that we I really was preggers, which is NOT the case.
We took her trick or treating and this is her at the neighbor's front door. She was loving it.

Can you spot the baby in
this pumpkin patch?
