Christmas Morn

We had an awesome Christmas morning at home with out little fam. It was really fun to watch the kids amazed by all their gifts, but it was more fun to be spoiled to death by Aaron. He's a good Santa.

Festive Stuff

Two weeks until Christmas:
I hid ONE unwrapped gift for the baby in a bag, in the closet, under a pile of shoes. Did he find it? Yes. How? Super baby powers.

10 Days until Christmas:
Krinny was a star at his Holiday Performing Arts show

5 Days until Christmas:
Went on the Cruise of Lights with the kids. You may or may not see that we are standing on a boat in the rain. Not fun.

2 Days until Christmas:
2 angels looking at the lights

Meeting Santa for the first time. It went well.

Family of Four

Tasha took some photos of our family for us
and I thought I would share a few, or a lot of them.

Tasha, thanks for capturing all the happiness and the kisses!

Hoiliday Soiree 2010

This year was our third annual Smith Holiday Soiree and it was a real hit.
On the menu were mini sirloin burgers grilled to perfection, with tons of fixins to choose from.
Some of this year's party highlights included : ugly Christmas shirt contest, Oreo challenge from Minute to Win It, a custom-made game of Family Feud with questions about our family and Christmas, a white elephant gift exchange, and a drunk driving incident. Yes, that is what I said.
Here is Aaron manning the grillAnd me showcasing my dinner
Kai's car, which he just purchased 5 days prior, was parked out front of our apartment and a drunk driver slammed into it! We heard what sounded like an explosion and ran outside to find the driver start to drive away. My brothers and Aaron chased him down, in their holiday socks and reindeer antlers, and caught him before the police arrived. He was arrested for driving under the influence but not charged with a hit and run. The police didn't think the situation qualified for a hit and run since he never actually got away. He would have though if it weren't for the 6 holiday men hunting him down though!
The damage doesn't really show up in the photos, but it was pretty bad. He even hit the car so hard that it threw it up on to the curb, and pieces of the siding were strewn up and down the street.
Way to put a real damper on the night

We're just glad that no one got hurt, including the two little kids in the drunk driver's mini van!
Regardless we had a great night as you can see..
