Whales and Motorcycles

This last weekend Aaron and I took a little trip of 760 miles round trip. The crazy part is, we rode the motorcycle the whole way. Yes... 760 miles on a motorcycle means we rode all day Saturday and all day Sunday. It probably would have been really boring and exhausting if it the ride wasn't so beautiful.
On Saturday morning we left Little Saigon (that's where we reside) and all the way up California to Big Sur. That's almost to San Francisco. We drove along the most beautiful beaches, through rolling green hills, along sheer cliffs dropping into the ocean, and through Redwood forests. It was awesome. We saw elephant seal resting on the sand, dolphins jumping in the ocean, pods of whales blowing water in the air, and a family of deer running in the woods. Saturday night we stayed at a lodge in the middle of a forest at the top of a cliff over the ocean. They had no TV's, no phones, and not even a gas station. It was really cool. On Sunday morning we hiked down to a waterfall, drove to a paradise-like beach where the mountain stream hits the ocean, and drove all the way home.
The pictures that we took just didn't do it justice.

This is what most of the ride looked like

Notice the baby waterfall dropping on the sand

This was our little friend outside of our lodge room

Bixby Bridge. It was large.

Deep Thoughts by Tanya

Sister- remember when we were little and we shared a bed, and every time one of us would get out of bed for something, the other one would hide their pillow? I hope you and Maurice continue that tradition as I have with Aaron.

Beach Bunny

Took the bunny to the beach yesterday and she loved it. Too cold to dip her feet in the water though.

Can You Still Feel The Butterflies?

This week was really exciting for me because we went to LA to see an old favorite band of mine. Jimmy Eat World celebrated the 10 year anniversary of the album Clarity, my fav. album from high school, by playing it in it's entirety. It was awesome, and as you can see... Aaron had a good time too.

Photo Shoots

These are some random pics from photo shoots
with Kali over the last 2 days

This last one is Kali reenacting the hickey incident.

Tide Pools

Last Sunday Aaron and I took a motorcycle ride down to Dana Point to check out the tide pools there. We saw a sea lion, dolphins, and tons of sea creatures that were too small for my camera to capture.

Cowdog

Last week Lulu Cowdog gave us a little scare. We took her to the Vet to finally get her fixed, which is a miner surgery. The surgery went fine, but when she began to wake from the anesthesia, things didn't go so well. She went into shock and her body temperature began to drop rapidly. The Vet had to rush her to an animal hospital where she was hooked up to an IV and monitored by Anesthesiologist for the rest of the day. The Vet said he had not seen anything like that in 15 years, which didn't make us feel any better. Luckily Lulu was able to pull through and recover. Thanks to all of her beatings from Kali (seen above) she has grown to be a tough little doggie.
