Memorial Weekend

Saturday we went to the beach with Dad and Casey. Aaron and I got FRIED in the sun but Kali stayed pasty white under the umbrella.

On Monday we took her over to Kailer's house to play in his new pool. I don't think she liked it as much as Lulu Cowdog did.

Is there a child in here? This is how I found her during her nap.

Quake

Tonight we had an earthquake that was a 5.0. I used to love earthquakes but now they scare me. I think it's because I am not just responsible for myself now, but for this miniature person also. It didn't feel like a big one but I was still got all shook up over it. Literally.
No damage in the house other than a glass frame that shattered.
That makes 2 earthquakes for Kali in the last 9 months.

Happy Saturday Morning

Sit back and let me tell you about the last 30 minutes of my life.

The baby kicked it off with a blow out in her diaper. As I carefully carried her to the changing table, cautious of getting the poop on my shirt, it started to seep through her pajamas. I laid her down and began to peel the poopy pj's off her body. After placing them in the sink to start soaking, I began to peel off the diaper which was loaded to the brim. Just as I did this two things happened. One: the baby threw the pacifier she was holding into the poopy diaper. Two: the dog, who was standing at my feet watching, threw up not once.... but twice. I don't know if it was the site/smell of the diaper that did it, but something caused her to lose her lunch at that very moment. Lovely.
Anyhoo, I spent the next 30 minutes wiping down the baby, sterilizing the pacifier, scrubbing the carpet (in two places), and scrubbing the PJ's by hand.
Jealous anyone?

She did it!

So our baby girl is 10 months old and will NOT crawl. She walks around holding onto furniture all day long, refusing to get down on her hands and knees... until last night! I just happened to have my camera as she crawled to her cousin Kailer.

Washington

The Miners, Smiths, & Christensens
Two weeks ago we flew to Washington to visit some of our best friends whom we hadn't seen in a long time. We spent 3 days with the Mccombs in eastern WA., and 4 days with the Christensens in central WA. While at the Christensen's, our other friends (the Miners) joined us from Utah. We had such a good time with all of the families, hanging out and getting to know their little babies.

The babies had good times together...

and bad times.

They were happy before a car ride to town...
but then things changed

Kali and Aaron checking out the horses
Loving the farmlands

The boys are shown here sporting their Huntington Beach pride

Apparently we got real 'serious' in poker

Thank you Joel, Amber, Alex, Kristen, Sean and Forbes for a wonderful trip!
