We've all heard of mom's doing things they are physically incapable of when it comes to rescuing their children. I didn't think I fully believed in the super human mom strength until I witnessed it myself the other day.
Because I manage the building that we live in, I went across the hall to check out a vacant apartment last week to see what repairs were needed. While I was going to be over there for just a minute, I left Kali in the living room with the front door of each apartment open. In the 2 minutes I was over there, I managed to get myself stuck in the bathroom with Griffey. I was checking the door handle from the inside, big mistake, and once I shut the door I COULD NOT get it open. I started to panic, not for myself, but for my two year old that was playing in the living room with the front door wide open. The thought of her going to look for me, or someone coming to the door was too much for me to consider, and with my super human strength I busted that door open. Once I was free I looked at my hands and saw that they were bright red and swollen from pulling so hard.
The funny part of all this, is that this morning my maintenance guy did the same exact thing, only he couldn't get out! He had his cell phone on him and called me for help saying that I would probably have to take apart the door handle. Well I got him out and he was so embarrassed that I couldn't tell him it happened to me and I was able to get out.

Spotlight on Griff
Portraits
Last month I had the kid's portraits taken and I felt the need to show them off to you all. They are really hard to see though because I scanned them on to my computer with my old scanner.

The Wagon
Apparently the red wagon was the highlight of the trip because my camera is filled with pictures of it...
