We're Safe Now... Hopefully.

Last week Aaron spent 3 hours under the car breaking his neck and arms installing cages around our catalytic converters.  Our right converter was stolen twice in less than 6 weeks and it's a MAJOR hassle to get it replaced. We had to do something.  We were at a DEF CON 5 situation, but now that we are prepared, we are at a DEF CON 1 level in the Smith parking stall.

The two missile looking canisters on the left and right are the converters.

After car surgery-
The web site for these describes how to install them, and then says the following:

"The end result is an intimidating, confusing, durable, rattle-proof cage around the converter that is locked to the chassis of the vehicle up to 7x. The wire rope is very difficult to cut quickly under the vehicle creating too much work for a thief in a hurry; even with an electric saw (converter thieves tool of choice) forcing the thief to seek out an easier unprotected vehicle."

We'll see how this works out.
