Sweet Things

Just a few sweet things lately:

1. Aaron worked really hard at Aramark the last 3 years, and was promoted to Production Manager. Way to go Sugar Bear!

2. Griff is full blown using the potty!  No more diapers!
Diapers have been a big part of my life for 5 years now and I'm done for a while. Yes!

 3.  Aaron may be at work ALL THE TIME, but he makes sure to do sweet little things for our kids that make me smile.  Just in the last few days, he attached a glittery rose to the top of Kali's headboard (seen below) just to make her feel special.

Also, after a mean little neighbor boy ripped all the streamers out of Kali's handlebars, Aaron got out the my ribbon box and made custom streamers for her.

Also, this morning when I was redressing Kali's bandage on her blister, she asked me to cut it in the shape of a heart the way that daddy did the night before.

Also, the other night at bedtime, she told Aaron that she needed a baby bed for her little teddy bear, so Aaron quickly fashioned this little bed next to hers.
(notice our use of diapers in this pic)

Aaron likes to make people think he's all tough, but he's really not.
He's just a big teddy bear.

5th Annual Family Dodger Night

It doesn't really count though because it was a terrible game and half the family
wasn't there this time.  We'll go again this summer and then it will be the
5th Annual Family Dodger Night Take II.

Nice faces from the husbands right?

Young Women in Excellence

Every time we get through with one of these programs, I feel like we should go out and celebrate!!
There is so much planning and preparation that goes into nights like YWIE and I am
so happy/blessed/relieved that I have these wonderful counselors (all dressed in turquoise by coincidence) to help share the load.  Did I mention that I love them? I need that on record.

Dream team and one of our medallion recipients, Carrie

Our ward table- a few of the creations our girls have been working on this year.

Our other medallion recipient, Ruby
(she is light as a feather so we carry her a lot)

Carrie and I

Amy and her awesome painting

Emily displaying her obsession with Lord of the Rings
LOVE IT.

Love the girls, love the leaders, love YW.
Don't love the fact that it is making me crazy though!

Firetruck Day

Who doesn't love a fire truck at school?
Seriously.

Superstar Week

Last week was Kali's week to be the superstar at preschool.
We made a poster all about her life, and she got to be the snack leader both days.
This is a big deal to a 4 year old so be excited.
Lastly, she got to bring something special to share with the class each day.

The first day she brought in Lulu and let everyone pet her.

And the second day she brought her princess bike to show everyone.
She rode it around the yard while they all stood there watching- really funny.
