My Beauty Queen

Kali and I go to a mommy and me preschool class once a week and it is so fun to see how excited she gets about it. She wears this little back pack that holds her snack, and she loves to show it off.

Saturday

Saturday we had an awesome day at the beach. The water was ice cold but this little one didn't seem to care. Then we met up with our besties in town from Washington. After looking at this picture I'm getting concerned at the rapid increase of children.

A Real Princess

I may have gotten a little carried away with the royal wedding this weekend. It wasn't just me though... Kali sat down with me and watched whole thing in awe. She's going through a major princess phase right now so it was really exciting for her to see a real princess, in a real gown, riding in a real horse drawn carriage to a real castle. She loved it just as much as I did.

Later when Kate and Will shared their famous kisses on the balcony, Kali had me replay it again and again. So cute.

I've always heard people say they remember the day that Diana married Charles, and now I will remember this day as the day I snuggled on the couch with Kali watching the pretty princess.

Happy Easter

We had a really nice Easter this year.

First, the kids woke up to baskets of goodies left by the Easter Bunny Even I had a basket of my favs.

As did Aaron...

Afterwards we went to church with Nana Meli where Kali played in the nursery and made pals with all the little kids. Griffey, on the other hand, re-split open his forehead which had just been glued shut at the ER 3 days prior. Ouch.
After church it was off to Grandma Petersen's for her annual egg hunt and dinner.
Have you ever seen a child more excited about pink eggs?

Griff was a master at finding his in small crevices

more joy

first experience with Peeps

This picture is from a few weeks ago when we celebrated Easter at my dad's before he left on vacation. If you are wondering why my kids have scabbed faces in all the pictures, I promise we don't beat them.

Lately

Lately we have been doing things like riding the carousel EVERY time we go to the grocery store. Kali made best friends witht the produce lady at Albertsons and every time we go there she gives us 50 cents for the ride. I try to stop her but she insists. Therefore, we ride it anywhere from 2-4 times a week. Good times.

Also, last month Kali got to go to Knott's Berry Farm with her other best friend Jenna. She loved it of course. And... we went to the Santa Ana Zoo, which I wouldn't really consider a zoo. It was more like a big park with some birds and monkeys. We conquered the whole thing in about 45 minutes and can't wait for an upcoming trip to a real zoo in Los Angeles. Needless to say, we had a great time running around.

Lastly... more beaching.
