Why We Love Summer

We love summer because of the beach, swimming, and Kali's new red wagon.

Design on a Dime

Sometimes Aaron likes to pretend that he is on one of the HG shows where they come in with a bucket of paint and redecorate the room in twenty minutes. This time the subject was our desk, and although it took more than twenty minutes, it didn't take a lot and it looks amazing.

4th of July

Last year on the 4th of July we had a seven day old baby, so we weren't able to do a whole lot in terms of celebrating. This year we made up for though, spending the whole day outside...

We kicked it off with a little swimming in Kailer's new little pool. It was kind of like a cold jacuzzi and Kali loved it.

After the pool, ten of us played a little volleyball, which I don't have photos of. I do, however, have a photo of Kali acting as the volleyball.

After the pool we all went to the beach to watch the fireworks shoot off the pier. No, I don't know why Aaron is sitting by himself with a pink blanky on his lap.

Kali Turned 1

She turned 1 last week!

The theme? Lakers

Her favorite gift? The Big Mac that my brother bought and wrapped for her.

By the end she was so happy, she did a little dance.

The Ball

Saturday night we went to Dodger's stadium to see them take on the Mariners. We sat in the outfield pavilion where they serve all-you-can-eat Dodger food, and where it's convenient for my brothers to harass the outfielders. The best part was when Aaron's all time favorite player, Ken Griffey Jr., hit his 620th home run right at us. Literally... right at us. It even hit me in the leg.

This is the shot from Sport's Center, where you can't even see me because I was ducking for my life and everyone else was jumping on top of us.

After the ball slipped through a few people's fingers, hit me in the leg, and landed on the ground, Aaron swiped it and has been a happy boy since.

- He said it was like Christmas.

Dallas

Here's a few pictures of our weekend in Dallas. We flew there for Aaron's sister Shelli's wedding, which was beautiful. By the way, we love her new husband Joey and are so glad he is now part of the fam.

When we weren't in wedding clothes, we were surviving the heat in the swimming pool.

Santa Monica

Last week Aaron had the day off, so we took the muffin to the Santa Monica Pier. I had never been on the big ferris wheel there, so we went on it and Kali LOVED it.
